This essential work is accomplished in emerging countries through High-tech Medical Projects (procurement, training, maintenance), Essential Infrastructure (power, water, capacity expansion), Caring for the Vulnerable (orphaned-abandoned children, HIV/AIDS, widows) and Education and Empowerment (schools, vocational training, enterprise endeavors).

From our beginning in 1990 to this very day, Assist has a successful history working with a wide variety of partners including foundations, hospital groups, service clubs, corporations, faith-based groups and individual donors. Projects have been completed in over sixty countries lifting thousands beyond mere existence to a hopeful and productive future.

Assist International

Assist International traveled to Vietnam in November 2011 to provide equipment and training for a NICU (neonatal intensive care unit). Bob and Charlene Pagett, Founders of Assist International, took their 13 year old grandson Bransen along on his first humanitarian trip. Ray Schmidt, VP of Operations for Assist, took his two 13 year old daughters (Adriana and Jasmine) as well. We are raising a new generation of humanitarians! Our good friend and volunteer nurse Betty Earle joined the crew to train local personnel on how to use the equipment.

Project:41 and Assist International joined together with Women First and provided 4 water pumps for the village of Isalo in eastern Uganda. Isalo is a very remote and poverty stricken village of 2500 people. They live on the banks of a shallow lake and yet have had no means of watering their crops until now. They greeted us with such warm enthusiasm and we left with the knowledge that our new friends will be able to grow more crops with higher yields providing better nutrition and more profits for their families. We trained 6 young men and women on the set up and maintenance of the pumps and hope to ship them many more in the near future. Please join us in helping these wonderful people work towards a better future.

Bob and Char Pagett preparing for the Assist International Board...

Bob and Char Pagett preparing for the Assist International Board Meeting

Come learn more about Assist and how you can join us in the...

Come learn more about Assist and how you can join us in the field.
